WHAT IS CAMP ENTERPRISE?
Camp Enterprise is a 3-day camp for high school juniors and seniors held at True Friends Camp Courage in Maple Lake, Minnesota. Camp E is designed to introduce students to the free enterprise system and encourage entrepreneurship and ethical business practices.
WHO GOES TO CAMP ENTERPRISE?
Each year about 120 juniors and seniors attended Camp Enterprise from high schools across Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Students with an interest in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation are encouraged to attend. The experience is often life changing.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND CAMP ENTERPRISE?
The cost to attend Camp Enterprise is $450 per student, including meals and lodging. This cost is funded entirely through sponsorship from local Rotary Clubs throughout Districts 5950 and 5960, so there is NO OUT OF POCKET COST to the student.

WHERE IS CAMP ENTERPRISE?
Camp Enterprise is held at True Friends Camp Courage in Maple Lake, Minnesota.
WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS EXPECT AT CAMP ENTERPRISE?
While at Camp Enterprise, students have the opportunity to build new friendships, participate in team-building activities, enjoy presentations and panel discussions from a series of keynote speakers and business specialists, learn the basic skills needed to write a business plan, and network with business professionals and students from other schools.
At the core of Camp Enterprise is an in-depth case study exercise. Students are placed on teams and assigned a case study containing a set of basic facts and financial information for a hypothetical product or innovation. Each team is tasked with developing a product concept, brand, marketing strategy, and terms of investment. The culmination of Camp Enterprise involves each team making a “pitch” to a panel of venture capitalists regarding a potential investment in their company.
HOW DO STUDENTS REGISTER TO ATTEND?
If you are interested in attending Camp Enterprise, the first step is to obtain sponsorship through your local Rotary Club. You can find their contact information here: https://my.rotary.org/en/search/club-finder. If you are unable to obtain sponsorship for any reason, we maintain a waiting list of interested students and match those students with Rotary Clubs who are unable to sponsor students from their local community.
Once you have a sponsor, or are placed on the waiting list, you can complete the online registration process available here. Please note, your registration is not complete until you submit the required waiver and consent forms and you will not be allowed to attend camp without completing those forms.
WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS BRING TO CAMP?
Students need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, personal hygiene products, and warm, comfortable clothing. Students are allowed to bring cell phones and laptops, but the use of those devices is subject to our Technology Usage Guidelines. All other materials are provided at camp.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
The dress code at Camp Enterprise is casual. You should plan to dress in layers, as some activities occur outside. You should also bring sturdy, close-toed shoes for our team-building activities.
IS FOOD PROVIDED AT CAMP?
We provide 3 meals a day at Camp Enterprise, along with several snack/beverage breaks. We encourage students to bring a reusable water bottle to help reduce waste. If you have specific dietary needs, whether for religious, health, or other reasons, please let us know in advance.
HOW DO STUDENTS GET TO CAMP ENTERPRISE?
For security reasons, and due to limited parking availability, all students are required to ride charter buses from St. Peter's Lutheran Church parking lot in Edina. Students are required to arrange their own transportation to the church lot and can park at the in the lot, if necessary. NOTE: The pick-up location address is 5421 France Avenue South, Edina MN 55410.
CAN STUDENTS DRIVE TO CAMP?
For security reasons, and due to limited parking availability, all students are required to ride charter buses from Southdale Mall in Edina. Exceptions to this “No-Car” policy are rare and must be approved in advance. Students who receive approval to drive directly to camp must arrive no later than 11:00 AM on Thursday.
WHAT IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED BUT ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND?
If you have completed the registration process but are unable to attend, please notify us immediately, along with your sponsoring Rotary Club.
Please note, cancellations less than ten (10) days prior to Camp may be subject to reimbursement of the $450 sponsorship fee.
